Bio
June Ni, a self-taught artist who seamlessly integrates her Asian heritage into her creations, exemplifies the bridge between cultures and eras. Born and raised in China, she ventured to the United States in 1993. After a successful career in IT, June courageously embraced her lifelong passion for art full-time in 2021.
Initially working with digital tools such as the iPad and Procreate, June explored the creative possibilities of AI-generated art for two years. However, she chose to move away from digital media, feeling that traditional, handcrafted art offers a unique authenticity that resonates more deeply in a world increasingly saturated with AI-created work. June believes that art made by hand carries an irreplaceable sense of individuality and emotional connection, qualities she feels are essential to meaningful artistic expression.
Her transition to traditional media, including watercolor and acrylic, reflects her commitment to creating art that celebrates timeless techniques while remaining contemporary.
June’s art delves into the complexities of life, often exploring themes of resilience, beauty, and the interplay between human experiences and the natural world. By returning to the tactile roots of artistic creation, she invites her audience to connect with art that feels personal, grounded, and enduring.
With this shift, June aspires to contribute to the art world in a way that honors craftsmanship and fosters a deeper appreciation for the irreplaceable human touch in artistic endeavors.
